I scream, you scream. We all scream for…wine??

I’m not sure when it happened, but at some point during the past couple of years my part of the world went wine crazy. Of course, I didn’t notice until I, in fact, had already gone wine crazy. I’ve never been much of a drinker…as a supertaster liquor has always been way too strong for me. I did discover that certain drinks were mixed so well that you could barely taste the liquor, and just as quickly I learned that those are most definitely the drinks to stay far away from. So on the occasions that I did treat myself to a drink I decided one day to see what wine tasted like. I had no idea what to buy so I went by price. White Zinfindel by Sutter Home was cheap enough so that was what I bought.

Well that was some very tasty wine! I loved it! I couldn’t believe that I had been ruining and wasting my tastebuds with regular liquor the three times per year I did drink! (New Years, 4th of July, and my birthday) Before you knew it I found myself buying Sutter Home at least once per month. It was so good that I didn’t want to wait for a holiday to treat myself to it. I wasn’t sure if once a month was too much or not, but as I look back the little 2 or maybe 4oz plastic bottles that I bought (and only drank one of them) was not much at all. Then I started to notice that everytime I went to visit someone, or went to a party there were bottles of White Zinfindel going around! Was this something new? Did I just not notice before? What was going on?

As time went on I went back to maybe 3-4 times per year of drinking wine. Eventually, I believe it was for a birthday party, I switched what I purchased one day to something called Barefoot Moscato. Once again I had never heard of it, but thought I could try it at least once. I had no clue what I was getting myself into! It tasted even better than the Zinfindel! I couldn’t believe what my taste buds were telling me. The only reason I bought it is because I started noticing everyone around me buying it when they went out and wondered what all the fuss was about. Well now I know…the light sweet taste of Barefoot Moscato will have almost anyone dying for more! It falls under the category of Muscat Blanc and has a light, crisp sweet taste that just about anybody could love. I love it so much that I just had to blog about it.

So, do you drink wine? Red or White? Do you like Moscato?
